A secluded retreat of three private hillside cabins in Fern Tree, Tasmania. Set on 96 acres of bushland overlooking kunanyi / Mt Wellington, the property leads down to a year-round mountain-fed creek surrounded by native forest and ferns.

Just fifteen minutes from Hobart, yet tucked away in the foothills of the mountain, it feels a world away from the city. Leave behind the traffic, noise, and pace of everyday life without losing the convenience of being close to town. Just native bushland, wildlife, shifting light, and uninterrupted views of the mountain.

The cabins are designed for slowing down. Quiet, comfortable spaces that frame the landscape rather than compete with it. A place to settle in, not just sleep in. 

A minimum two-night stay allows you to arrive properly, but more nights are recommended to truly unwind and catch your breath.

Across all cabins, relaxation is considered. King beds, generous bathrooms and well-equipped kitchens meet lounge spaces made for lingering. Every stay feels comfortable in every season, with reverse cycle air conditioning, heated bathroom floors, and extra bedding for cooler nights. Wifi and a TV or projector are also included in each cabin for a quiet night in, curled up on the lounge. 

Stillwater

Tucked furthest into the landscape, Stillwater is the most secluded of the three. A place for stillness and restoration. Light moves gently through the space, opening to private views and long, unbroken moments. A freestanding bath on the deck, a double shower inside, and the warm presence of an indoor wood fire. 

Ironbark

Warm, grounding, and quietly bold, Ironbark is a deeper expression of the landscape. Earthy orange and dark tones wrap the interior in warmth, while mountain views draw the eye outside. A space for slowing down, settling in, and staying a little longer than planned.

Mosswood

Light-filled and unhurried, Mosswood opens to sweeping views of the mountain and the surrounding bushland. Soft white and gentle green interiors reflect the world outside. Fresh, quiet, and alive. Set at the front of the property, it is where light gathers and the day begins slowly.
